Race against time for Steven Jones

Scarlets Director of Coaching Phil Davies has given star fly-half Stephen Jones a deadline of next Wednesday to make the Heineken Cup quarter-final showdown against Munster.Jones missed Wales’s Six Nations clash against England due to a broken bone in his right hand and now faces a race against time to be fit in time for the crucial clash with the current European champions. He will miss Friday’s Magners League encounter against Newport Gwent Dragons.“We are monitoring Stephen closely and want to give him as much time as possible to be ready,” explained Davies. “But we won’t risk him if we feel he isn’t ready,” he added.
