The Llanelli Centre ProjectThe Llanelli Centre Project opened in 1989. It is an independent, charity funded youth project, working with young people aged 10-25.
Therapeutic Arts and Crafts Project: This project helps young people to be creative, express themselves and try out new things. Examples include: canvas painting, wood burning, wood turning, sewing, glass painting, T-shirt design, pottery and graffiti art. Youth Information Service: This project helps young people to access information on the internet which will help them to apply for training or employment. They can also research up to date information to help them deal with any issues they may be experiencing. Advice, support and signposting are available at the Centre to help the young people. Youth Club: This project allows young people to take part in art activities and access the internet in a safe, supervised environment. They can also play pool, table tennis, watch films, take part in competitions and have fun. Volunteering: The Centre Project has several volunteers who support the young people and staff. They take part in all of the activities and help the young people to access information. They are friendly, approachable and non judgemental, enabling the young people to confide in them. Volunteer to make a difference, share skills and interests, learn new skills, make new friends, gain experience in youth work, develop your confidence, communication skills. Aid your personal development with FREE training and staff support. If you are aged 16+ why not join us? Llanelli Centre Project wouldn't be the same without its fun and active team of volunteers!!! Engage Project: This project is targeted to help young people who are aged 14-19 and who are NEET or at risk of becoming NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training).
