Sunday services are at the usual times and will be led by our Minister. The evening service will include Communion and the offering will be for the Bible society. We are grateful to Rev Roy Jenkins, Mr Derrick Fisk who led our worship earlier in the month.
Welcome to four new church members Arwel and Gaynor Owens and Allison Small who were baptised last Sunday and to Megan Cox who we warmly welcome into the church family. The Baptismal service last Sunday was a time of great blessing as those baptised shared with us their testimonies.
Frances Davies continues to be at Prince Philip Hospital.
Ken and Joan Jarvis have celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary.
We have had a wonderful time of Bible study with Dr Doreen Hartland. Making our way through the Pentateuch (the first five books of the Bible) have been inspiring and informative. Doreen begins a new series on the Gospel of Luke on 13th November. Please join with us on Tuesdays at 7.30pm and Wednesdays at 1.10pm.
The second service was transmitted on BBC Radio Wales on Sunday. Thanks to everyone who took part.
The church choir presented the Gospel Musical ‘Wonder of Wonders’ on Harvest Sunday. They are now rehearsing a Christmas musical which they will present on Sunday 16th December. The choir are also singing at the Ammanford ‘Torch’ fellowship in December.
It was good to welcome Furnace school who held their Harvest service in the chapel again this year. Along with this service our Minster has spoke at the Harvest services at Five Roads and Ysgol Brynteg.
The cakes stall and Sponsored Walk have already risen over £1000 for the Ty Bryngwyn Hospice and the hospital league of friends. Would all walkers please ensure that their sponsorship is paid to Carol as soon as possible. The Tuesday Christmas lunch this year is on 4th December. All names to Terry Pike as soon as possible.
