Local audiences are in for a rare delight when Britain’s leading soprano, Lesley Garrett, performs locally with the Llanelli Choral Society.
“From Bach to Broadway and Beyond”, the annual performance of the Llanelli Choral Society, will feature star of opera, stage and screen Lesley Garrett joining forces with the Llanelli Choral Society all under the baton of celebrated conductor John Hywel Williams at Llanelli’s exciting new concert venue, The Ffwrnes, in October.
The evening will be a musical experience to remember, taking audiences on an exciting journey of music and song, from classical to 20th century, from Opera to Broadway. Performance highlights will include great favourites such as You’ll Never Walk Alone, Going Home from the New World Symphony, Some Enchanted Evening, Hallelujah Chorus, Aida’s Grand March, O Fortuna, Born Free, Exodus, Zadok the Priest – to name but a few.
“It will be a pleasure to perform with Lesley for local audiences”, explains conductor John Hywel Williams. “Lesley’s great voice and bubbly personality makes this a wonderful experience for audiences and artists alike.”
