Welcome to the official webpage of The Llanelli Festival 2013
Following last 3 years successful events, the Llanelli Historical Society is hosting another festival. This event is designed to promote the positive aspects of the town and promote the area's communities and groups.
The event is being held in the Selwyn Samuel Centre Bowls Hall on Saturday 17th August 2013 and Entry is FREE.
With more than 70 organisations taking part, this will be a fun day out for all the family and will also give the various community/voluntary groups an opportunity to showcase their activities and raise their profiles.
This year’s Festival, sponsored by the Town Council and hosted by the Llanelli Historical Society promises to be the best yet.
This will be the fourth Festival celebrating all that is good about Llanelli. It is a chance for organisations, clubs, societies and groups to showcase themselves and show what Llanelli has to offer.
Doors to the Selwyn Samuel Centre will open at 10.00 a.m. the Salvation Army Band will get the event off to a flying start.
There will be entertainment throughout the day with something for everyone. Prince Nadin, magician and illusionist, will delight young and not so young with his mystifying performances.
There will be displays, stands and exhibitions covering every subject one can think of and the popular Teddy Bears’ Picnic will appeal to everyone.
Refreshments will be on sale throughout the day in the Bowlers’ Bar and the Lliedi Suite. Please as the staff for details.
Why not come along, meet old friends and make new ones. See what your town has to offer – you will be amazed.
Buy a souvenir booklet for £1.00 and receive a free raffle ticket.
Sincere thanks are extended to everyone who has agreed to take part in this special event and to those who have agreed to sponsor the event or offered financial or practical assistance.
